from the land of uva....

i just had to post this, not only because blogger FINALLY started working again, but because these designers are from virginia (charlottesville to be exact). lotta helleberg started inleaf in 2002 and has since created a beautiful line of textiles for the home. the designs use a printing technique in which actual leaves create the patterns. fabric paint is then applied to the back of the leaf and then pressed onto the fabric. made of high quality linen, each piece is sewn with extraordinary attention to detail and craftsmanship. all items are washable and meant to be used for many, many years. you can find more information on lotta's work here.
