cole and son
cole and son consistently puts out some of the best wallpaper around. i did a short write up on them awhile back and felt the need to do it again. i just checked back and saw a few new patterns i just gushed over. "woods" is a gorgeous wallpaper with tree illustrations that comes in a number of subtle but colorful styles, each perfect for the pattern. "fioretti" reminds me of a bandana. i don't know why, but i like it. "woodstock"- well, it takes a bold person to put that up, but i'm sure someone could find a way to make it work- it's too cool not to use. and last, "paper roses" is an elegant, simple and beautiful pattern that i'd LOVE to have somewhere small and bright- perhaps a bathroom with a skylight or a small sun porch (sadly no apt in our range would ever have either). i'd even frame a square of it. so pretty. anyway, check out the whole cole and son line here. gorgeous papers.

They have a showroom in NYC but only open to the trades. Their wallcoverings can only be ordered through an interior designer!
It's also available to non-decorators at Janovic in Tribeca.

Are they the original designers of "woods" ? Or do they just carry it? I seem to remember a couple young designers getting an award for this paper? Please let me know, very curious....
