i play street hockey. i used to play field hockey and it was a reluctant change, but i'm so glad that ac made me stick with it. i play on the greatest team in the world, the unicorns (hence, the bag from elsewares). we happen to be the gayest team in the league, followed by the skyfighters. if you're ever up for some exercise, or just want to watch some skinny, dorky kids run around, come check out a hockey game on the LES. you can find our full schedule here. i suggest the unicorns game- our team is unstoppable this year. other teams to watch this season: pork fried rice, lbs ("pounds"), skyfighters, the dark rainbows and mexican standoff (if only for their kickass t shirts).

I read your site all the time, almost every day of the week.
I don't get a prejudiced vibe from you at all. But even jokes can be inflammatory, especially in the written form, especially when told to people who don't know you. Besides, using a word which describes a type of person to imply anything negative, even when joking... it just isn't funny.
i don't think the comment implied anything negative. she says she's on the greatest team in the world. and that they also happen to be the gayest? what's negative about that?
I'm fairly certain she didn't mean "gayest" as "most homosexual." If she did, there wouldn't be anything wrong with that. As it is, she probably means it as "uncool, but I think it's cool to be uncool", which isn't so cool, if you know what I mean.
