williamsburg spode

d*s reader, ken passed along artist susan hamburger's work this morning and i'm so glad he did. in honor of my old neighborhood, here is ms. hamburger's updated version of spode, with a williamsburg twist. each plate appears to be a traditional spode pattern but is actually a drawing of a typical williamsburg scene. ah, industrial grit- such a lovely contrast to traditional english porcelain. i don't think ms. hamburger's work is available for sale, but you can find more information on her work and contact her here. enjoy!
