founded in 2002, litchfield connecticut's emma gardner design is run by (who else) artist emma gardner who specializes in rugs for interior designs and architects (but you can buy them retail through a number of showrooms). what i love most about gardner's rugs and textiles is the way she infuses each piece with beautiful saturated color and pattern. my favorites are those inspired by florals, but they're really all worth checking out. you can click here for more information on emma. enjoy!

I've always admired these rugs, but have just assumed that they're out of my price range.

Does anyone know how (about) how much these run (e.g. a 7'6" x 9'7")?

1k?
2k?
5k?
10k?

Thanks!

The nicer wool and silk type in the size you're looking for can run upwards of $12K. Pricey.

The price seems to be in keeping with other hand-made rug companies. What I find interesing about this company is that they are certified by RUGMARK and guarantee no rug is made with any child labor.
