make up the wall

as i'm making decisions about the kitchen, the idea of a chalkboard is starting to sound better and better. but seeing as i'm not much of a freehand artist, i've been drawn to these aluminum stencils from maria kirk mikkelsen as a way to create some pattern around the writing. they're certainly not new (a.s.o.g posted them in january) but i'm thinking they might be a fun way to insert some pattern into the black space. you can click here for more information on maria's stencils and email them directly to order if you're interested...

I've been looking for something like this for a slate gray wall I have. Is there anything else out there that is cheaper but similar? I would consider stickers or stencils. There has to be something. Thanks.

Check out Blik as a way to spruce up a blank wall. They are self-adhesive, removable wall stickers in some pretty cool designs. www.whatisblik.com.
