in short? consider this my own personal black list, beginning now.
do not ever, ever use allan gerowitz from prudential douglas elliman as your broker. he was the rudest, most unprofessional broker i have ever met with. and i've met with an excel sheet of over 40 brokers.
i'll stop before i launch into profanity. i am writing all my friends at real estate blogs now. someone messed with the wrong sponge.

long story short, he was rude, unprofessional, disgustingly condescending and downright awful.
he spoke to me like i was a 7 year old child who had disobeyed him by not agreeing to refloor a RENTAL apt before even seeing it.
it's a long story and i'm so disgusted i could spit fire. i swear. what an ass.

Hey, we used him, years ago! The man is insane. Truly, truly insane. If I had a blog, way back then, I would most certainly have written about him. I'm sorry you had to deal with him. How is he still working?

i'm writing a letter to prudential to let them know what happened and that i've alerted my readers as well as the editors of curbed and brownstoner- so they won't just be losing renters- they'll be losing big time buyers and real estate buffs.

I also used him about 6 years ago. Although he is a complete wacko- he got my hubbie and I a rediculously cheap one bedroom in Carroll Gardens. Somehow he has access to all the cheap joints- but if you want em- you gotta put up with crazy.
not just crazy- rude and unprofessional. i think he's gotten worse over the years. he's a first class jerk.
sad thing is, i rented my apt through him and he is truely and awful man with very bad dandruff
funny... he was my broker and, yes he was a bit patronizing at times, but overall he did an awesome job for me. can't complain at all.
