lekker home
boston: hometown of my dear ac and the fabulous home store, lekker. busting at the seams with elegant, stylish accessories for home and table, lekker really is a fantastic resource for classy, timeless homeg goods.
with fun pieces like a modern, stainless steel fondu set living next to painfully beautiful mother of pearl spoons (only $4-$12!), lekker has compiled a collection that pleases a number of styles and aesthetics. this is a shop that, in my world, gets the label "perfect for mother and daughter alike". (aka, we could shop together and my mom would be able to find more traditional pieces and i could ooh and ah over the more contemporary, funky ones).
the collection really speaks for itself, so check out my choices above and below and see the whole shabang right here. really, it's gorgeous stuff.

Hey! I know these guys, their Dutch!
hmm...mother of pearl?
i'm not sure if that's very good...exporting them is already banned in some countries...they are becoming extinct.
Dear Anonymous:
You are absolutely right - wild pearl that is stripped from the ocean and not replaced and/or pearl that doesn’t come from a pearl farm is not a “green” method of production and shouldn’t be supported. Similar to wood that comes from a clear cut forest. However, Lekker’s mother of pearl comes from a pearl farm which is seeded, grown and then harvested. Then the cycle starts all over again. At Lekker we don’t just care about the homes you and I live in but the home we all call our planet.
Fellow Bloggers thank you for your comments and we hope to see you online again soon.

Lekker, I've been loving you guys for two years. (Unfortunately, mostly wishful thinking.) I am so happy you exist to provide good design and bring ideas to all of us.
