alyson fox
thanks to d*s reader sarah i am now completely obsessed with designer and artist alyson fox. based in austin texas, alyson is primarily a fashion designer but does a huge series of illustrations that completely knocked my socks off. she draws on books, clipboards, wood, everything and creates such ethereal, almost eery, worlds in each of her pieces. i was really taken with the illustrations drawn directly onto clipboard and books, but you can click here to see the full collection. it's absolutely beautiful. i'm going to have to see if i can beg to buy one for my home. i've gotten really into illustration lately. thanks, sarah! love the simplicity and originality of this artists work!
What an AMAZING artist. loving it.
Beautiful! For a look at some very successful shows of affordable illustration work from Cape Town, South Africa, go to http://drawingroom3.blogspot.com for our most recent show, and to www.drawingroom.co.za for our previous exhibition. Both these shows were held at a fabulous gallery space run by an ex-New Yorker called What if the World. Find out more about other shows of a similar nature, and see thier online gallery too at www.whatiftheworld.com.
