converter
last night was the opening of deadly squire's converter show at the riviera gallery in williamsburg. i popped by for the beginning of the show and snapped as many pictures as possible before i had to get home. anna and tim put together such a fun show full of great designs inspired by their textile patterns. my personal favorite was a toss up between the tv screen painted like the black birds fabric (which played a video of birds squawking that was echoed on the loudspeakers) and the tiny mice jewelry inspired by the feasting at the berry bush pattern. the pictures really say more than i can so [click here] to take a virtual walk through the converter exhibit. i highly suggest stopping by if you're in town- it's really fantastic in person.
[i'm out for the day so i'll be back on monday with a brand new feature! (we're focusing on international design this time) also, the newsletter goes out today so be sure to sign up if you'd like d*s once a week in digest form]
