rare device west + sf meet up!

it's a bittersweet day to report that rena of rare device is officially moving to san francisco. i'll be sad to see her go but happy to see that rare device will stay in park slope and team up with the lovely erin of sodafine. in addition, rena will be opening a rare device in san francisco. i'm trying to time a trip with the grand opening so stay tuned for more on the new shop. it will be fun to see how rare device grows and changes. [earrings above are right here]

speaking of san francisco, ac and i fly out next wednesday to visit and housesit for the lovely victoria of sfgirlbybay. kelly at relish put together a nice dinner for a few of my favorite bay area artists and i thought it might be fun to have a little informal meet up afterwards. so, if you're in san francisco next friday (june 29) swing by and say hi. we'll be having drinks and just hanging out. we have a tentative location but i'll announce more next week when i know everything for sure. hope to see some of you there!

This is kind of sad... I have online stalked all of you wonderful design bloggers... but now that you are coming to my town, I'm almost nervous to meet up! However it would be super cool (even though I am not a blogger myself).

This is exciting news for those of us who live in SF! Looking forward to seeing you during your visit, and can't wait to welcome Rena to the Bay Area!

Great news for the SF bay area. If I recall, Rena moved to NY from the bay area originally - so glad to have her back with a new store in tow! I guess it's more wishful thinking that she'll restart her jewelry-making someday too, but I'm certainly happy about this development.

So...will the D*S visit to SF help to spur a SF Guide?

Hi Grace...we're thrilled for Rena's move and hopefully Billie and I can make the grand (re)opening! (if I may make a suggestion...there's a great little sushi place (the Country Station)...if you get a chance to go please do, nothing like mariachis and sushi, the waitress hands out little instruments as soon as the bands come in from off the street..I was aye aying and rolling my rrrrrrrr's by the end of the night...just be careful...the neighborhood is a bit sketchy

Grace, I am sorry to miss the Friday meetup; my husband and I are going to Mendocino for the weekend.

BUT, I heard you might make it to my art opening at The Candy Store on Thursday evening. If you do, please come and say hi. it's going to be a fun party!
