rose + radish

i just heard from jill at rose + radish who announced their latest show: tea time! the girls have transformed their showroom into a modern afternoon tea room (designed by cate kellison). tea time will showcase a mix of tabletop designs, home accessories and floral displays designed to give a fresh, garden feel to the shop. some of the artists to be featured are: soop, wetter indochine, jorine oosterhoff, lightly and nymphenburg. and, as part of r+r's sixty forty print club, a special limited edition print for tea time was designed by artist miki amano. in honor of national hunger awareness day, r+r will donate a portion of the print sale to the san francisco food bank. the print will be available for saleon june 19 but until then you can click here for more information. ac and i will actually be in sf during the show so i'll be sure to take some pictures in person. we're housesitting for victoria for a few days so i'll try to cover as much great sf design as possible.

Grace, I am very curious to see what you will think of R&R when you visit it, especially if you go in and do not announce who you are. Everytime I have been in there, I have had nothing but arrogant and unhelpful service. I have a big fat gift card to use in there but it's just collecting dust because I don't want to deal with their attitude. Everytime I see an entry by you about them I've been surprised. You'll see the space and the inventory is not that amazing. Ok, this is sounding more like a yelp entry, but I just wanted to give you a heads up!

I hope you have a great time in SF. I found sfgirlbybay's blog through you, so make sure to ask her opinion on what to do and see in our beautiful (and cold) town!
