good god it's apple day

never thought i'd devote this much space to apple, seeing as their ipod royally screwed me twice. but their new logos for iLife and iWork are super fresh. i love them. love them love them love them. ac and i might get the tiny new computer too. i like the idea of "reclaim your space", not bad. take a look at the newbies for yourself.

i'm going to have to agree... like a 50s-60s cartoon (god, i wish i could reference a name - i know nothing if illustration - it reminds me of a kind-of Rocky & Bullwinkle thing), but not in an overbearing way. it's good to see that more classic illustration & gd is making it way back into the mainstream after uber-digital everything.

How did the iPod screw you over?
ugh, it's a long story. it started with a bright purple imac in college and has recently ended with an ipod that apparently will never ever work. ever.

an ipod tip: it helps when you plug them into a computer.
whoops pow surprise!! OOOOOHHH!!

These artists might be along the lines of the style you are referring to; David Weidman, Abner Graboff, Mary Blair, J.P. Miller, Pete Burness, Bill Hurtz, Lew Keller and UPA Studios. I think Steve Jobs must be quite into that style too seeing as how nearly all Pixar films from the last few year (Nemo excepted) have used this style in the credits...
ooh i love mary blair! i forgot all about her- thanks for the refresh!
