island getaway

error_logo

i know this isn't new, but i can't help but want to celebrate the re-branding of the bahamas. i've never been there, but this logo sure makes me want to go. i know that sounds dumb, but you have no idea how swayed i am by advertising.

to the company that created the new (or fairly recent) design campaign for the bahamas, i tip my little sponge hat- your design is bright, modern, happy and above all- kick ass. every time i look at this little logo i smile. it's the greatest. yay bahamas!

ps: times article was pushed back to next thursday- don't even get me started on why...

Did you see the article in Travel & Leisure a couple months back about the "rebranding" Bahamas and how it was becoming a "hot" destination again (mostly due to that Atlantis resort, which sounds horrid and completely antithetical to the image which that logo creates)?

no! but yes, i've heard atlantis is ghastly. i've never been a big fan of those weirdo self-contained hotels that take up like 25 square miles or something.

man i love that logo. every time i see it on the subway i smile.

Duffy of Minneapolis created that logo when they were part of Fallon.

Duffy is now on their own. They do amazing work.
