can we just talk about how weird this crap is for a minute? seriously? i don't know how i found this but i can't decide whether or not to be totally creeped out or applaud their creativity. for those of you with an abhorrence of all things scatological, turn away- this is kinda gross.

pipinette is this weirdo swedish company that designed a system that allows us ladies to well, do our business boy-style. standing up, that is. now, for all you hikers in the crowd, this is cool, cause you know what a pain it is to take off your pack and gear just for that. however, i'm really just intrigued by the thing in general. the way they've designed the system is quite ingenious. take a look for yourself and lemme know what you think. the d*s jury is still out on this one...

Strangely enough, I know someone who has one of these (or something quite like it). Her husband is an avid hiker and he got it for her because he was tired of her ranting about how hard it was for women to pee in the wilderness, compared to the ease of the process for men. Her advice after using it? DO NOT under any circumstances allow the tube to crimp when in the "being used" position. She found out the result the, um, rather wet way.

does the non-travel version have to look like a mini Britta pitcher? i take issues with associating the two very different liquids each device is used for.

all i can say is that i agree with both of you. the risk and degree of mistakes is a little too high for me. eesh. last thing i want to do is walk around in the woods away from a shower smelling like, well, you know.

ick.
