maxwell-silver
i love great online resources (because i happen to think product resources are helpful, not culture-destroying...). maxwell silver combines a bunch of great home boutiques into one online home design haven. i'm rather partial to the lacquered boxes and trays, but you can't go wrong with jill rosenwald's pottery or bernaudaud votives either. there's a whole slew of great stuff to check out, so cruise on by and see what you can find.

Maxwell-Silver is great and I used them for my wedding registry (in fact, I have one of the very lovely laquered trays you've featured your post), but I must point out that some of the items that were graciously purchased for us by our friends and family were either a) out of stock or b) unavailable. The staff are super friendly, but just as a little caveat, I'd keep track of how long it takes things to be delivered, and follow up if you don't receive your items in a timely manner (we had to follow up numerous times for couple of items). When items weren't available, Maxwell-Silver kindly gave us gift certificates to the store the item was purchased from. I love everything we received from Maxwell-Silver, and found their selections WAY more in line with our tastes than some other registries out there in cyberspace... Once again, Ms. Sponge, you've quite the eagle design eyes. Reading your site each day is like reading the blog of a kindred design spirit. It's a pleasure to see what treasures you've discovered everyday.
thanks, schuyler for your kind words, insight and the heads up on their stocking and shopping.
so, to those ordering, keep an eye on your ship time!
