ok, so that's just a cheap reference to my guilty pleasure movie, empire records, but these new works at velocity art and design by rex ray are fantastic. (ed note: some of these have been sold, but there are plenty left with a similar style in the same price range)

well-known san francisco artist, rex ray has some great new works at seattle design hot spot, velocity art and design. his bold use of color on wood is something i think most of us design junkies can admire. even if you can't afford his pieces (they range from around $200 for paper collages to $800 for wooden ones), i thought they might provide some inspiration for those seeking interesting wall decor. i'm in the process of designing the wall art for my non-existent new apartment, so i'm always thinking about huge pieces i'd like to install. if i could afford it, i'd snatch one of these bright pieces in a heart beat.
