everyone's seen that spraypaint you can use to create a chalk board anywhere, but nyc based yoyamart makes this really great magnetic chalkboard paint you can use to create not only a chalkboard, but well, a magnetic one. for all my work-from-home friends, this could be a cool way to create more useable space out of odd corners or parts of walls that won't fit a traditional chalkboard, magnet board or cork board. it's $29 and available right here online at yoyashop.com

Thanks for the posting. I am planning on buying some of that to layout a magazine I am creating.
Krylon makes a magnetic chalkboard paint for a fraction of the cost and it works. Do you know if the Yoyamart paint is superior?
There is a 'magnetic' paint available, which rather than being the finished surface is actually designed to be painted over. The paint itself is full of iron particles, and once dry you paint/paper over it, thus any surface can be a magnetic noticeboard without having to turn your wall into a big blackboard.
no idea about superiority of quality. came highly rec. from an editor friend of mine who redid her daughter's room with it.
thought it was a cool idea.
i need to find that paint that genevive used on trading spaces that turns to rust after coated with another substance. if i owned a house i'd totally make a rust wall. that was sooo slick. i even loved the moss wall.
i heart genevieve.
