improved crockery

i like the word crockery. it has such a nice sound to it, crockery. makes me want to say it again and again. anyway, before you think i've gone mental, let me explain why i'm murmuring "crockery" over and over in my head like a mad woman...clio home just added a great new plate and tea set to their collection called "improved crockery"- they're designer silk screened images of men and women on vintage crockery pieces. they're oh so sarah cihat. they're not dishwasher safe, but these aren't really everyday pieces- i guess they'd be funny to use to serve tea and biscuits on or something. the line ranges from $37-$130 and must be ordered via phone, as their online stock is out. you can contact clio home at 212.966.8991. enjoy!

I'd love to make some of these myself--any diy types know how to silkscreen on ceramic, or even the thomas paul-type printed melamine?
Hey there, Ms. Sponge, thought of you this weekend when I visited the Nest shop on 9th Ave. in Chelsea -- they have the new Dwell sheets you featured in stock among other very cute items. Also thought of you when I went to Mxzyplyzyk -- they have these very cute compartmentalized trays/plates that are similar to those you featured last week but these were only $35 a pop. You should also check out the July issue of British Elle Decoration -- it's got you written all over it (not to mention a free Vitra catalogue attached). Check out www.habitat.co.uk and www.grahamandgreen.co.uk. On a more disturbing note, did you see the comment about the Urban Outfitters/Anthropologie/Rick Santorum connection posted on apartmenttherapy.com today? My heart sank when I read it. I love those stores and it was a bummer to read that the CEO of the company is a conservative Republican... So much for coupling a social conscience with consumerism.
Whoops! That's www.grahamandgreen.co.uk. No 'e' on the green.
