sad day
my childhood pet, muffin, a beautiful tabby cat, is being put to sleep today. she was 15. no posts for awhile today, need some time to just think.

I'm sorry for your loss. :( I can't imagine what I'll feel like when my cat, Mitzy, passes on. I've had her since I was in sixth grade. And I'm 25 now. But every one has their time and I'm sure your kitty will go to pet heaven with all the other good little doggies and kitties and such. There are always kitties that need to be loved. Maybe a new one just needs love and that's why it was muffin's time. Anyways, take care.

I was heartbroken when Pumpkin, who was 17, had to be put to sleep while I was away at college. It was hard, but we still talk about him and what a great personality he had.

Oh d*s- so sorry for your loss :( I was completely devastated when my childhood cat Leo had to be put to sleep 6 years ago. My family and friends who also grew up with him still talk about what a wonderful creature he was.... I'm hugging my kitties extra tight today for you!
This is so hard. I've lost 6 cats over the years. I cried many tears. Now I think of them all with happiness that they brought me so much joy. But losing them is so hard.

I am so sorry about Muffin. She reminds me a lot of my childhood cat Maggy who died at 16. It's something that will never stop being sad, but I finally took some comfort in thinking about how lucky I was to have her and what a good life she had. I hope you'll find the same comfort.

I'm so sorry. I just had to say goodbye to my best kitty friend for 13 years a few weeks ago, and it's the hardest thing to have to do.

So, so sorry to hear about your kitty, I know how much it hurts. Paul & I I lost our two 14 year old kitties last year within one month. One of the hardest times ever for me. They had been my best friends, and my biggest support through my single years and early crazy, career days. Muffin will always be special in your heart and you will always know that you are special because you were the one who got to know her and love her and be loved back. Our hearts go out to you.

So sorry. She looks just like my 18 yr old childhood kitty who was put down a week ago Sunday. Chin up, kiddo. Everyone has their time.
At 30, i've lost a few pets. I can't imagine life without my dog now. On a lighter note, it's kind of weird that the Dunkin Donuts Muffin Cat commercial is on perma-play right now -- maybe a message from beyond? Was Muffin a prankster?
