david wiseman

underchandelier

i've been a fan of designer (and 2003 risd grad), david wiseman’s work for some time. wiseman's work has a wonderful maturity that belies his age (i think we're both 24) and never ceases to convey his depth of creativity and unending capacity to create beautiful, timeless works. his appreciation of forms and patterns found in nature can be seen in his earlier, bark-inspired pieces (see "wall forest"), as well as his newer works (see "porcelain" and "bronze") that take their cue from the subtle grace of moss growing on a rock.

his latest pieces, a beautiful commisioned ceiling in a private los angeles home and a series of geometric vessels constructed of porcelain and bronze, reveal his growth as an artist and cement his place in the ever growing design industry. david is certainly a designer to watch, as his works continue to push him further into the spotlight, a place with which he's destined to become more and more familiar. for additional information david and his work, please click here.
