papa stour

1

conceived in the spring of 2005 by designer/stylist rosie brown and businessman ewan findlay, papa stour is a fantastic little online shop celebrating the best and brightest in scottish design. focusing mainly on small home products (linens, baskets, small tablegoods and extras like jewelry and scarves), papa stour has a wonderfully homespun feel to it, with loads of cozy comfort goods like warm blankets and hot water bottle cozies.

with international shipping available, design fans in the us have access to papa stour's wonderful collection of scottish goods. (being of scottish descent, it's always nice to celebrate scottish artists). co-founder rosie brown previously worked in london as a textile designer before becoming a freelance interior stylist and regular contributor to publications like elle decoration, living etc and homes & gardens. rosie and ewan's goal was to carry a collection that celebrated scottish art and craftsmanship in its purest form and they've done just that with papa stour. i highly suggest checking out their full collection, it's a wonderful detour from the realm of american design. enjoy!
