working class concepts

49862310_12_2005

working class concepts is a line of modern home accessories designed by emerging students/artists at the savannah college of art and design (scad). each quarter students are selected as interns to form an interdisciplinary design team led by studio directors. currently the collection includes journals, pillows and great home accessories like coasters and place mats. i just love this idea so much- what a great way to support artists and their first attempts at producing goods for sale. the work is just stunning- take a look here and shop away to your heart's content right here (scad's shop- gotta love that savannah toile). hooray for student design!

HORAY FOR WORKING CLASS STUDIO!!!

Today at the SShopSCAD store I saw those coasters, and they're soooooo awesome!

They do a bunch of wonderful stuff, I'm planning to see if I can intern there in the Spring!

Thanks for mentioning them!
