rare device web*
design rena tom just launched the e-commerce version of her recently opened brooklyn design shop, rare device. chock full of great "rare" finds from international and smaller, independant artists, rare device has already become known for its eclectic collection of home goods. with the new site, rare takes its business to the web with a small, but well-edited collection of tableware and home decor. my personal favorites are the gorgeous black glass sake set from sugahara ($72) and hanna werning's colorful wallpaper posters ($18). now those of you outside of brooklyn can shop rare's collection of unique designs. click here to browse the new site. enjoy!

I saw this calendar and other great stuff by millimeter/milligram, a Korean design company, all over Seoul when I was there over the winter holidays. I'd love to see more in the U.S., especially their very cool printed wrapping tape. Here's their website, though I can't seem to find the tape in their online catalogue:

I love this post! Rena is a member of our design*collective and I just forwarded the link around for everyone to see. Very cool.
