this week has flown by and i'm so glad it's friday. i hope everyone has smashing plans for the weekend. ac and i will be indulging in belated valentine's day pampering at area spa in carroll gardens. in the meantime, i'll be finishing up redesign details with my lovely coder and designer who've been saints trying to get through the maze that is redesigning within blogspot constraints. but enough of that, back to design...

i love this chippendale frame from urban outfitters. i'd love to see it in a brighter color, but this black will do for now. the frame has nine spaces for photos, each in a different shape. you can buy one for $44 at urban outfitters right here.

Hmmm...

With a jigsaw , a sheet of MDF (medium density fiberboard), and some paint one could create roughly 3 of these. The total cost would only be between $60-100.

And out of the project you'd have a jigsaw and some possible gifts!

I wish it were a mirror rather than the little frame openings, but its cheap and cute nonetheless.
And I wish, like most new yorkers, that I could have space for a jigsaw:)

Julian, great thought, but what about for those of us who are DIY challenged :) It's a beautiful, different frame, great pick!

Found one on sale for $14.99. Snapped it up right away and wandered all of campus carrying the thing!
