i adore that store too! they have the most beautiful flowers! that's reason enough for me to move to park slope :)
Love these flowers (and the vases) too! Actually, they are anemones, often confused with poppies! Looks like the "collars" have been removed; they are usually a few inches below the blossom and are a distinguishing feature of anemones. Poppies have a very wiry, hairy stem. Enjoy!

oh lovely... i was just going to write saying that they look like anemone's actually. but then i saw someone already mentioned that.
definitely one of my favourite flowers. and in purple too. actually wearing a purple anemone at the moment.
poppies however, are another favourite too. especially with the softest summer breeze. and tulips. this is definitely the season to celebrate the tulips. [and i do believe, that has to be one of the most beautiful sounding words... ever]
