[new d*s contest]

spring is officially here and so is the d*s/fred flare spring spruce up contest! in honor of this time of the year when we clean out our closets and redecorate, fred flare and i decided to celebrate the best in DIY spring redecorating. did you rehab a great piece of furniture? did you clean out and redecorate your bedroom? if so, send your before and after photos here with a description of the project and you could win one of three gift certificates to fred flare- your home for fun, funky design. details:

• all entries must be received by next WEDNESDAY at 6 PM (send entries here). winners will be announced that friday!
• first place is a $100 gift certificate to fred flare, second place is a $50 gift certificate and third is a $25 gift certificate!
• rules and guidelines: all entries must be diy (do it yourself). that means no interior designers or architects (unless you already are one) can be involved in the makeover.
• you can submit furniture or room makeovers, and they don't need to be from this spring, we'll accept things from 2005 and 2006 to be fair.
• emails should be titled "spring spruce up" and should include JPEGs of the project before and after, no pdfs please
