lovely new bowl from crate and barrel- the oleander centerpiece bowl is made of hand forged wrought iron and is roughly 25 by 12 inches in size. available right here for $149.
I put this on my registry last year because I saw it online and thought it was amazing. Then I saw it in person. It is HUGE!! :) Don't be fooled, you need a VERY big table to display this on. I unfortunately do not have that, so I took it off my registry. Still, it is a really cool piece! And I think it really looks best without anything in it, it's like a big piece of art for your table!
Reminds me of these which are made from recycled metal. There are also platters. I know how you love good green design, like looolo and scrapile that you recently posted on. Thanks for always highlighting the products sustainability and congratulations on your full-time blogging.

it's beautiful...but what does one put in a bowl like this? anything?
It's far from new, it's been in the store for over a year at this point.

j'adore.
I think some oranges or grapefruits would look nice in it.
It would be pretty with anything uniformly citrus inside. But it still looks nice naked too.
