debra franses bean

fionaroom

kristina at three layer cake has all the good european design tips. she just passed along the work of her friend, and soon to be future perfect showcased artist, debra franses bean. bean is based in england and creates beautiful textile designs used in window coverings, pillows and wallpaper designs. working under the label couturious, bean creates modern, feminine designs with an edge (the photo below is in focus, it's supposed to look that way, just an fyi). her chandelier roll blinds are my absolute favorite- they're so ornate but so fun and simple. you can check out bean's website for more information right here [thanks, kristina!]

I have to say I'm a bit over seeing chandeliers everywhere...

i hear you, but sometimes i think they're nice used sparingly. though these would definitely demand a large, uncluttered, loft-style space.

I read the dfbean site and saw that the chandelier idea actually came about because of her house burning down and predates the "chandelier craze", so...good on Debra Bean for being ahead of the curve!!

Like the handbag sculptures, too! They are pure genius!!!!
