dwr newbies

zm_9035_4

dwr just released a few new pieces and i was totally drawn to the lighting. i'm always interested in a clean, classic bone china piece and these lovely drop pendant lamps are perfect for a kitchen that needs simple lighting that blends in but doesn't fade away. the drop pendant comes in two shapes, each $198 a piece. if you're in the market for something a little funkier (and i mean funky with a capital F) check out the new glow pendant. made of antiqued brass (and considerably pricer than the previous pieces), the glow pendant looks like crinkled pieces of metal that peeled away from the lamps light source. would be perfect for a home that needs lighting that can double as a dramatic art piece ($1798 right here). and last but not least, dwr added some of my favorite marimekko trays ($56 and $78 a piece) to their accessories collection. available in 5 patterns, these perfect little trays are made of plywood and are perfect for a dresser, countertop or for serving spring cocktails to friends. click here for newbies at dwr. enjoy! [i'll be back tomorrow with fresh finds and a brand new podcast!]

i like cheap, too but i also like the history behind marimekko and the stories that come with their patterns. the company is such an impressive one. ikea is nice too but i don't really feel that history with their pieces. i'm not knockin $4 fun finds, i just think marimekko is sometimes worth the price difference.

I am in LOVE with the vases in the catalog that have numbers on them. Any ideas on where to find them?
