scad
i'm always looking for great new works by student designers and scad's online shop is one of my favorite places to look around. this time i found these colorful wood grain pillows by scad alumni maureen walsh. walsh's "uncle bikes" pillow is handmade with original fabric screenprinted by walsh. each pillow has an unusual shape with concave ends and a quilted surface made by machine embroidery. available in brown or chartruese for $98 at the scad shop. enjoy!

I go to Scad, if there's one thing the school's good at, it's promoting itself and the work of it's students (former and current).
i used to work there--actually the store is called shopSCAD. and yes, i agree, great promotion of student, staff and faculty work.
Thanks for writing about shopSCAD. I am a recent grad and I loved stopping in the store to check out what students were up to. I have to also hint to my favorite little stuffed animals sold at shopSCAD, called 'Adimals'. They were adorable! Go Adam!
I love Mo's work - and she's such a sweetie! I adore your blog and I'm glad you featured Uncle Bike and ShopSCAD.

I found your blog in a random search while looking up my Adimals. I have no idea who wrote that comment above but thanks for the support! I really like shopSCAD and the talented work that's coming out of it. I'm enjoying your blog a whole lot too...it's a really great resource for up-and-coming artists, not to mention a wonderful place for inspirational design. Keep up the good work!
