id chicago
i was so bummed i didn't get to visit all the shops i wanted to, and this was high on my list of "why didn't i visit them!" shops. id chicago is a great design shop that carries really unique home accessories, furniture and even eyewear if you're in the market for some new specs. i'm a big fan of id's collection of tracy kendall wall hangings and the new bowls from design star hella jongerius. the wall hangings start at $120 a piece and you can call id for pricing and purchase info on the bowls. click here for more info.
[and if you're in the area, be sure to check out f2 glass' exhibition at id chicago on may 12 from 7-9 pm. there will be plenty of great new works to see, including new furniture designs!]

steven and anthony are the owners and they have such a great eye for picking out emerging and established artists' product design. definitely a 'must visit' if you're in chicago again!
i agree, what a great store! me and my boyfriend make sure to visit every time we're in town! f2's glass is stunning, we have one of their smaller lamps. timeless design, not trendy and never the "expected". the hella bowls i love love love! must...have...them...all...
