butter boy and butter girl
ok so this post isn't about high design, but it is about fun summer products. while attending my friend missy's bachelorette party on saturday we discovered this butter boy and girl (bb or bg) at a local vineyard. you pop the top off of each bb or bg and gently place a stick of butter inside. then you can use your bb or bg to easily butter your corn cobs this summer. no more butter fingers! i know, silly, but cute and quite helpful when it comes to buttering with panache. available for $7.95 right here. happy grilling!

I am happy to report that although we've only been together a short time (since Saturday), Butter Boy has already been featured heavily at our dinner table and promises to be an important addition to our summer. His head doesn't have the satisfying popping off action that you'd expect (kind of more of a sliding/falling off action), but he butters corn very evenly and looks hilarious when his grin is covered with messy butter. Then you just wipe up his dirty face, stick his head back on, and pop him-- butter and all-- back in the fridge. He cracked Alden's grandma up, which is an accomplishment in and of itself. We don't recommend buttering toast with him, though. Oh, and my Butter Boy is blue- a much better color, I think!!
i just saw these at my local gadgeteer store - i thought they were the cutest thing!
