fabric madness

DSC00566

it's been ages since i posted an update on the d*s apartment project and that's about to change. our trip to europe helped us clear our heads and get back on track (we've done hardly anything). first step? turning this fantastic repro depot fabric into a shower curtain in our bathroom. have to find a paint color to work well with it, and then curtain fabric. then i thought i'd share some of my favorite purchases lately, since i get emails so often asking what i actually buy when i go shopping. lately: a gorgeous tile by xenia taler, little gift tags by egg press (i loved the ochre/mustard color), tiny feather bowls at french touche and two new potted plants: a sweet smelling orange tree and a little tomato plant. my kitchen is now awash in fresh fruit smells. more apt updates to come this summer. we set a goal of late july to get everything done. we'll see how that works out...

Eeek! I was looking at that exact fabric with a shower curtain in mind for my bathroom, currently under renovation. Darn you for beating me to it. Oh well, off to find another perfect b&w geometric print...

Well that Lime Green plant pot certainly makes the pattern in the bathroom pop - so why not that color?

great shower curtain d*s! one question: did you use grommets for the top? if so, are those difficult to do?
thanks!

hi! i had a time finding one- i got mine at a local shop called the park florist, but i know that sprout home has some similar ones that are square. it's hard to find a nice simple white (modern) planter...

Thanks for the reply. I have been having a bunch of trouble finding clean modern white planters. I have found it is also hard to discern how white white is over the net. I will check out sprout.

I've had an orange tree for two years now, and it has yet to flower and produce cute li'l oranges (my mom grew me a new plant from a clipping of hers). Any tips on how to make it blossom?
