seeing red [new mini trend!]
this week i'm catching up on updating the d*s podcasts and mini trends. the podcast will come on thursday or friday but today i put together a fresh new mini trend: red and white! i'm seeing it all over the place and it's a great trend for adding a little spice to a room. so click here to read the full piece and feel free to suggest any great red and white pieces you're seeing in the market. enjoy!

this is not exactly along the lines of ready-made pieces, but there's a great red-and-white quilt pattern in the book "denyse schmidt quilts," called the "hop, skip, and a jump" quilt. i can't find an image online for the original red-and-white version, but it's fantastico!
I love my red and white Genie Table Lamp from Pottery Barn. The scale is oversized--the shade is huge!--and the base is a shiny candy red. Yum! I am going to make coordinating throw pillows out of the reprodepot fabric in this feature. Time to get the sewing machine out of storage. Thanks d*s!
