electrolux

electrolux_flower_screenfri

electrolux has declared "war on white" with their wow fridge fronts in multiple styles and colors. i'm loving this floral pattern- i don't have a kitchen that really work with this, but if you have a home that would work with one of these patterns you can find more information right here. How much more fun would doing laundry be with a gorgeous floral or polka dot pattern on your machines!
I think they should declare "war on stainless" instead of "war on white" (although I suppose they are really just declaring a war on "plain"). I am so tired of seeing so much stainless stuff. A friend of mine recently redid her kitchen with that ugly pinky/taupey granite and stainless appliances. They paid a small fortune. I thought it was hideous and looked dated but of course didn't say so. I asked her "Do you love it?" She said "No, not really, but it will increase the value of our condo." Note that they aren't planning on selling it for a few years, and to me, that pink/taupe granite with stainless appliances already screams "late 90's" to me.
One day, when I own, I am going to have a classic black and white cook's kitchen.

me too. though i wish i could have something like this. the old school exposed ones with wooden walls and big heavy latched. i stared at these walls all night, they're from envy in amsterdam (www.envy.nl)

I'm a new condo-owner and am just in the middle of redoing my kitchen. I agree about the stainless but we're planning to sell again in less than three years so we have no choice but to design and decorate from an investment perspective. (And stainless sells.) That said, I love these decorated appliances. Does anyone have any idea for non-permanent products I could use to create a similar look? Even just hints for beautiful cut-out style magnets would be appreciated. Thanks!

Wouldn't stick-on wallgraphics such as those available from Blik (whatisblik.com) allow you to achieve a similar look that is easily removed? Since the graphics are supposed to be peel and stick and removable on regular walls, they would also work fine for stainless I would think. . .
