fokus fabrik
rena always sends me the best links. this weekend it was a link to finnish textile studio, fokus fabrik. there's something about the scandinavian culture that just breeds phenomenal artists- and when it comes to textiles, they are the cream of the crop. based in porvoo finland, fokus fabric is the designing team of tiia eronen, eeva heikkinen, laura jarvelainen and hanna kerman. together these ladies have created a beautiful collection of textiles that can be used for shades, pillows, linens or any other creative project you can dream up. right now they seem to be distributed only in finland, but i'm waiting to hear if those of us across the pond can place an order and have the textiles sent overseas. i'm digging that blue tree/cityscape print- it reminds me of madison square park for some reason. so cool. for more info on fokus fabric please click here. [thanks, rena!]
[ps: if anyone knows where i can find those clear bubble glasses in the photo with the sweets i'd be eternally thankful- i can't seem to find a clear version like this. thanks!]

or how about that rabbit? aside from finding a nice white one that i could paint myself...does anyone know where i could find that amazing yellow rabbit?
Can you ask Fokus Fabrik where they bought them from for the props?
The rabbit looks similar to those designed by Ottmar Hörl (and based on a drawing by Albrecht Dürer).
Tiia Eronen from Fokus Fabrik kindly responded with all the details we've been looking for. Unfortunately they don't currently have a Canadian distributor, but they will ship directly from Fokus Fabrik to customers all over the world. The lovely little glasses are Finnish design classics called "Grappo" designed by Nanny Still. Sadly no news on the rabbit! But I think I'll look into the details Lexy provided.
The factory that produced the glasses is no longer in operation, so one of the girls from Fokus thinks that auctions, antique shops, or glass dealers would be the best bet. And she cautioned that they'd likely be harder to find on this side of the pond.
By the way, thanks Lexy for the details re: the rabbit. Ottmar Hörl is indeed the creator!
