how magazine would like to invite d*s readers (well those that are graphic designers) to enter the 15th annual how international design awards. this could be your chance to gain international recognition, feel like a star and show off your hard, hard work. winning entries will appear in the april 2007 issue of how. the entry deadline is september 1, 2006. rules and entry form are avaliable right here.
fun logo competition alert (and 5k prize!): create the official logo of the design 21: social design network - the winner receives a $5,000 prize. design 21: social design network is a new online community that aims to bring designers and non-profit organizations together to create, share and discuss socially responsible design. kicking off the launch of this unique venture, designers from around the world - students and professionals - are invited to enter. the contest ends september 4, 2006. more info and entry forms here! good luck!

on their web site, it states that you must be a member of the Social Design Network in order to submit your entry and they provide a link to their membership info...
