velocity has a new artist on board and i'm loving his playful paintings. based in birmingham alabama, artist matte stephens takes inspiration from 1940's and 1950's jazz, modern design and old movies. matt features birds prominently in his work and has a special place in his heart for owls, which he visits often at a local nature preserve. you can click here to check out the new matte works at velocity, most are fairly affordable around $150. enjoy!
