PR: worst.season.ever

pr

i could not be more upset. i mean, congrats to michael but really, what the hell? the producers are clearly keeping vincent in. what a joke. i'm so angry. at least i know that alison will have her own line this fall. the fashion world has been all buzzy about it lately so that's the only justice. YES, she made a hideous dress, but so did kayne and so did vincent (for what the 4th time?) and SHE goes home? this season is so bad, i'm considering taking a break from it. i sure hope they learn from this season and the next is better. i've lost faith in the judges and producers. they kept the crazy man! argh! "put some harry winston in your nose"?? argh! ok, feel free to discuss below. i'm so bummed i'm going for ice cream.

I'm. Just. Stunned. Nay, horrified. I thought this was the week they'd send Vincent (a.k.a. Moe Green from The Godfather) home! Hope the ice cream was a mild consolation...

I totally agree. Overall, Allison's talent is so evident, while Vincent has produced horrors time and time again. And he's creepy.
I hate it when TV gets in the way of itself.

Oh, man. I'm so sad. And I can't stand Vincent. He reminds me of every nightmare wack job art-school roommate I've ever had. They must be keeping him for dramatic purposes, because his aesthetic is lost somewhere between 80's-era Unique Boutique sales rack and 38th Street spangled-dress wholesaler, and that's charitable. Plus he's a whining jerk.

Alison got done dirty. I fully expected her to be in the top 3.

That is it! This season is a complete joke. Once they boot Jeffery- you know they will never go for him- I'm turning my back on the joke of a show that will remain.

Maybe they are worried that he'll have a breakdown if they kick him off. I blogged about this too. He's creepy!

YES!!!!!!!! I was soooo angry last night when they let her go, somehow I knew they would though because that is now the track record of all reality tv competition shows! But it could be a blessing in disguise, because she is one of the most talented on that show, and perhaps it's good she didn't make it to the top ~ because I bet by this happening she may really come out on top! :)

I can't remember how this exactly worked in other seasons, but I'm thinking they will bring her back?

My favorite line was Heidi's - "There's a fine line between inspiration and insanity." Hilarious!

they must be keeping vincent for some sort of entertainment value, because my cat could design better clothes. the guy reminds me of a bad version of paul lynnde. he cashed out his 401k and took his life savings to come do the show? doesn't he have family and friends who'd tell him he was insane?

on a forward looking note...I think next week they design for their mothers! Everyday women was the clue.

What irked me the most was Heidi's comment that she would rather look long and slim in Vincent's hideous dress (even though the model couldn't walk in it) than risk looking fat in Allison's dress. I would rather look "fat" than fall on my face any day of the week!

And what's with all the commentary about how the model is "zaftig"? In Tim Gunn's podcast, he refers to her as a plus-size model! I know the fashion business has a distorted notion of the female form, but really! If that woman is plus-size, then the rest of us are small planets.

I completely agree with you! Alison was robbed. Her work was always well thought out and always well constructed. Her only flaw was her fake accent. Where'd she learn that, Madonna?

I'm also still steamed that they axed Milan while Michael Kors was away. How Miss Stupidverse could wield that kind of power, I will never know. He would have made something gorgeous out of garbage.

jeffrey is a jerk! so glad that he did not win... what a sore loser... i felt really bad for allison... but i saw some of her line on the today show this morning, so she will be just fine without project runway...

but i agree with kiwi that it was uli that got robbed... her dress was without a doubt the best...

vincent is scary... he is there for comic relief and comic relief only... he is no more a designer than my 9-year old son! argghhh!

i saw tim's blog and he seems to be shocked too.
i can't believe alison is gone.
all her stuff so far had been beautiful,
and one mistake, she's gone.

I agree. I was so hoping that Vincent would be gone. Allison is very good. I am glad that they kept Kayne- just because I like him-his design sucked and her knew it a copped to it. I think that is what saved him. He didn't pretend to love it. But, Vincent is creepy. I don't think Laura is mean. I think she just stands up for the other women and she was clearly standing up for Allison, IMO. And a couple of these gus are just vipers to the women- Jeffery and Vincent and Keith while he was there.

Vent #1: I agree with what others have hinted upon, being the body image insanity of a woman looking "sleek" (but can't walk) is "better" than a woman who looks "huge" (huge?? really?? um...). I would much rather look like a paper brioche than look like I broke both of my ankles. Besides, one would hope that a deigner of any gender would have a sense of how to design for *gasp* a customer of any gender (and their little dog, too).

Vent #2: The I-Hate-Laura Club is absurd. Especially in light of Kayne's "I'm not going to be demeaned on camera.........but I'm going to call you crazy behind your back on camera and question your character on camera." Ugh. And, while I definitely feel that Jeffery has the "mad skillz" he claims, I think it would help more for him to focus on his own work, rather than be in the process of some constant fascist fashion rant about "inferior" this and "boring" that. Let your designs (and I guess that neck tattoo) do the talking.

Vent #3: Daaaaamn you, Viiiiincent!!!!!! :(

I hated myself for being so outraged. That was rediculous. Being the optimist, i can only hope they felt sorry for Vincent (notice the return of the 401K comment) ... Alison has so much ahead of her. And i don't say this often -- i'd go totally straight for her. She's everything we all wanted Cindy Brady to grow up to be.

The worst thing about the show was having to hear creepy Vincent repeatedly say "it gets me off" more times than I care to recall. I seriously got shivers, and thought that the judges would recoil in disgust at his wacko garment and sexual predator rationale. O well.
I love Michael, but I thought Jeffrey should have one it. He was a big pout about it, though.
