satur farms

just got my summer heirloom totmatoes from satur farms. too pretty for words. if you can find heirlooms near you i highly suggest grabbing a box. so yummy. heirloom gazpacho recipe right here and more yummy heirloom pics from my kitchen right here.

[ps: photos of the debut d*s shop products are rolling in today and i'm seriously bouncing off the walls. this shop is my dream come true and the products are fantastic. each artist has created something just for this shop and you're going to love it. i'm so happy i could burst.]

I'm so excited about this shop grace! How are you doing this all? Are you having artists ship to you so that you distribute, or are the artists responsible for distribution? Just curios as I am about to start my own shop soon!

foofs- i'll explain it all when i launch in sept. still working out the kinks and details so don't have a real answer yet. but the real stars will be the designers- my goal is to use my site and the shop as a platform to support and raise awareness for independent designers so this is a great extension of that goal for me. i'm seriously giddy with excitement. the products look sooo good! :)

Grace, I highly reccommend the quart baskets of heirlooms at Eckerton Farms at the Union Square Farmer's market. They are there on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday and have a fantastic variety of August's best. That batch from Satur is nice but the yellow are not heirlooms. No green or white or stripey things in that bowl! Anyway, tomatoes are my favorite so I thought I'd let you know where to go.

xo, Kate
