crocheted reef

orange-anemonie

i'm glued to my computer today (i fractured my toe tripping over ac's playstation cord) so i'm catching up on email and found a great link from d*s reader sarajo about the institute for figuring (an organization that investigates the mathematics behind patterns and illustrations). they house a gorgeous gallery of 'crocheted hyperbolic models' that includes a wonderful series of knitted sea creatures and anemones like this one. i was blown away by how beautiful each object was and thought you guys might get a kick out of them, too. click here to browse the entire collection. and stay tuned for a fresh podcast this afternoon! [thanks, sarajo!]

i cannot even begin to tell you how much i love love love wireless controllers.

they have made my life 20 bazillion times better.

or maybe just better in 2 ways:
1 - no unsightly cords
2 - no pussyfooting around cords

The Institute for Figuring. Crocheted hyperbolics? Someone has too much time on their hands! Have to admit it is interesting.
