clare rojas

ladywithspike

mocoloco posted clare rojas' work last week and i was instantly smitten. mocoloco described it best as, "bring[ing] to mind a mixture of quilting, folk art and depictions of a mythical culture..her imaginary landscape is one where women’s strength and powers are much more obvious, and perhaps present, than those of the men, who seem almost to be replaced by animals." perhaps a bit eery for some, but i think it's lovely. click here for more information on clare rojas.
