spindle lamp
i love a good spindle lamp. you just can't go wrong with them. repaint them, refinish them, add a new shade- they're the little black dress of lamps. this bright red version is only $36 at urban outfitters and i think i'll snap up a few for the bedside tables while they're available. things seem to move really quickly at urban so if you see something you like i suggest snagging it. i always bookmark pieces and go back the next week to find them sold out. click here to grab this red base- i love it paired with the brown pancake shade ($22). enjoy!

when you buy these new lamps, what will you do with your old ones? i tend to like to buy quality and stuff that has personal meaning, not price or trend. but go to it! you are keeping the economy going, at least in the short-term. reading your posts, i get the sense that you have a restlessness that gets quenched by soaking up products.
great find grace! i snagged one myself!
I feel like this could be a really great DIY project for people who like to get handy. I'm picturing an old really ugly brass lamp with ugly porcelain with floral decals from the thrift store. A couple coats of glossy spray paint and you could probably get a look close to this one. Great colour inspiration though Grace! Sometimes that's the hardest part of a DIY project, making it not LOOK DIY.
Thanks again for the inspiration!
