lucky mag + gift guides
lucky magazine had some great ideas in their gift guide this month. it got me thinking about gift guides so i thought i'd let everyone know that next week d*s will be devoted entirely to gift guides. i'll be compiling a three day guide by price and monday will be a wonderful gift guide done by noneother than our afordable art guru, mav. by thanksgiving everyone should be able to find a few ideas for the loved ones in your life. i'll also be providing links to other site's gift guides so stay tuned.
but speaking of lucky, these were some of my favorite pieces they showed: lovely lovely vinyl doily placemats ($29 for 8) at eden & eden (415-983-0490), deluxe plastic cutlery ($120 for 16 piece set) at moss, owl plaque at rose and radish ($25). the owl is probably my favorite. so cute. [you can pick up lovely lovely lace tablecloths and coasters at rockett st. george, too]

Amazon has a pretty decent gift guide. I know--it's amazon! Hardly cutting edge. But I saved a surprising amount of ideas.
IKEA had some great vinyl/lace last summer...it was a table runner made of yellow lace that was basically laminated. I picked up a roll at the end of the summer for less than a dollar!
love the tablecloth!!! :)
It's too bad shipping on the black doilies is $40 US
there are even more lucky mag gift picks on their website that are worth checking out... (and! all under $50!)
