gizmobies

ok, it's a silly product time out. normally i'm not a fan of those sticky things you can put on your phone and ipod but i was chatting with the gang at sesame and they tipped me off to these little guys called gizmobies. they're totally one of those things that gets sold on the moving carts at the mall but some of the designs are super cute in person. breck at sesame has the fleur-de-lis design and the other day i actually saw the hibuscus pattern on the subway and was shocked at how cute they are. i'm a fan of being able to personalize your devices, so these (at only $20 a piece) are a fun way to give your friends and family a little stocking stuffer if they own an ipod...click here for more info [thanks matt and breck!]

Matt from Sesame LP here...
I have one on my ipod and it is sort of amazing. It sticks very firmly... but somehow still peels away from the metal/plastic of the ipod... then magically re-sticks without picking up lint or dirt around the edges. The kid at the mall in Nevada told me it was a patented 3M technology...

If you want real protection and keep your iPod or any gadget in its true NAKED state, check out the invisibleSHIELD from www.shieldzone.com . I have three different ones-on my iPod, my BlackBerry Pearl and my PSP. They rule!

Gizmobies are totally cool! We loved them so much that we purchased a large supply as reps somewhat for the company, which does not focus much on retail. They stick securely to your iPod and look awesome (especially in the Nano and Video styles) and peel right off when you want them to without leaving any sticky residue at all. They can also be used while charging and on speakers, unlike cases and "skins". We still have a decent supply available for anyone's retail needs. And, Guinevere, we can also sell wholesale to you for your Switzerland store. Please contact me - Beth - at info@chicshields.com. Hope to help!

I have personally seen these, in fact I have also purchased a couple as gifts. They look really good once you put them on your Video or Nano iPod. Yes they are removable and no they do not leave any sticky residue. The people I purchased them for loved it and are now asking me for more. If you live in Canada they are easy to find, I bought them in Vaughan Mills mall at a booth.

I have bought a few Gizmobies. They are nnot bad. Designs kind of limited. I bought another similar skin for my ipod as well as my Razr from a company called TekTatts. Way cooler designs, it has a built in belt clip and also a screen protector which Gizmobies does not. Also its alot cheaper. I paid $20 for one Gizmobie skin and paid $12 for the TekTatt skin. They were also giving out free samples at CES the other day.

I love my "garden of giants" sticky. It sticks nicely and is easy to reposition, while not leaving sticky crap on the ipod itself. They had some very cute designs as well as some non-mainstream looks.

My concern is that the package, on the front at the bottom, says "www.Gizmobies.com - copyright 2006 Gizmobis, Inc. All rights reserved."

Perhaps it's me, but the fact that the packaging has the spelling different on the website and the copyright mark is a little concerning.

I recently purchased this item. I found them in CA in Ontario Mills Outlet mall. They look so cool I actually purchased the black/white one on the top of this pg. I payed $15 dollars and for a second you would just pay $7 dollars extra. Great invention!!! I love it!!!!

Hey, my name is Adam Simonelli. I am one of the designers of the gizmobies. I designed 2 different designs. Originally they were just being sold at the Aladdin in Vegas. I was fortunate enough to see them when I went out there last August. I bought a couple and they are sweet. I just found out yesterday that they are being sold in New Hampshire, so keep your eyes open at you local mall. Not sure what's up with the site, it's been down for a while.
