must read: hospitality under the influence
one of my favorite christmas presents was a copy of amy sedaris' i like you: hospitality under the influence. aside from some fairly hysterical recipes (including a crab dip by stephen colbert) and craft projects, the book includes all sorts of writing by sedaris that is bound to have you in stitches. for only $17 it's hard to resist..click here for more info and to buy.

I am also loving this book. It's very unique as far as cookbooks go. I reviewed a few of the recipes on my food blog.

Amy's style is so liberating- gloriously messy, theatrical, and low budget.
She's like the anti-Martha Stewart. I was completely inspired by this big old labor of love.
Oh and I love that Todd Oldham took all the hilarious photos of Amy. That made me love the book even more!!!!
did you see my post i did on her cakes at fred flare?

Me too! I love how you can absolutely hear her talking - inflections and all - when you read it.
