julie baker fine art

today's posts will be all about color and pattern. the tundra-like weather here has me wishing for warmer days when interiors are all about bright bursts of color. up first is julie baker fine art- i heard from julie herself last week and was thrilled to find another source for beautiful artwork on the web. julie carries artists like jen garrido and waddy armstrong (pictured above and below) that have a wonderfully strong sense of color and texture. along with jen and waddy, julie represents over 35 emerging artists with a growing emphasis on artists from california. the collection is extremely strong so i highly suggest a quick click over to check things out. prices aren't available online but each work has a link to contact the gallery for more information and pricing. enjoy! These are all very nice. I like the first one, with the blue background, particularly.

So excited to see Julie's Web site here. I have been a huge fan of hers since she opened her gallery in Grass Valley. She has since moved to Nevada City and I highly recommend making the trip up there if you are ever in the area (say driving up to Truckee or Tahoe -- make the detour!) There are tons of wonderful restaurants and stores to check out and the town is very cute.
