teak lighting

i have a weakness for wood and ceramic lighting...a teak neck combined with a creamy ceramic base always looks so warm and inviting. these vintage lamp bases are available on ebay right here (no bid, minimum bid: $99.99) with or without the shades. i think the shades are awful so my advice would be to leave them out and pick up a nice linen shade- maybe something in a soft solid color to even things out.

I bought a nearly identical pair on Ebay last year for some insane price like $20! The only difference is that they don't have the wood base -- they sit on the white ceramic. I have one up with a double-tier vintage shade, the other is languishing in a spare room. Maybe I should list it!

For these, get custom shades from Moon Shine Shades (http://www.moonshineshades.com). They do great work. The ones they made for me, everyone comments on.
