jeffers design group

i heard from emily at jay jeffers' studio the other day and she was kind enough to help me set up an interview with the talented california designer. i've been interested in interviewing more interior designers lately, as my interest in styling and space has grown exponentially. the more i try to finish our house the more i appreciate the skill behind a beautiful room. i'll be speaking with jay in the next few weeks but until then i thought i'd open it up and see if anyone had any questions for jay. feel free to leave them below and i'll try to weave them into our conversation. thanks! I would like to know his ideas/suggestions on creating the look of one of his rooms on a budget....:)

AND which, of all the rooms he's done, is his favorite design.

i'm dying to find out the name of the chinese urn wallpaper...I know it's a Decorator's Walk wallpaper, but the name of the pattern would be great. Also- does it come in other colors???

His rooms are so fabulous, but I am curious to know his opinion on this:

with this hollywood regency/glamour thing happening in such a big way, does he worry that rooms with such a strong point of view will look dated in a short time? How does he avoid that?

Also, what other designers currently working are a source of inspiration to him, or at least people whose work he really appreciates?

What's a new trend he's really loving right now?

Hello all! That wallpaper is from Clarence House, item 6801-9, pattern: the vase, color: taupe/white. i can not remember if it comes in other colors.

Looking forward to answering all your questions!
